Based in Normandy, near Mont Saint-Michel, Filt has specialized in hand knitted or shoulder bags since 1860 with patented designs.

Historically these bags have been used by generations of mothers and grandmothers as a traditional market bag. They stretch to fill a wide range of groceries and miscellaneous items and can support an extreme amount of weight. Each yarn is traditionally dyed in the north of France and then knitted and sewn in the Caen factory.
